Community & principles
Photostories is a home for your photos and the stories behind them, shared with people all over the world. A few principles keep it a place worth being part of — please take a moment to read them.
A space for everyone
Photostories is for people everywhere. It is an open space — what you publish can be seen by many people, across many cultures and languages. Please be considerate of others, and respect both the people here and the platform itself. Share generously, disagree kindly, and assume good faith.
Keep it appropriate
Photostories is a public space, and you must be at least 14 years old to use it. Profane, hateful, or abusive language and sexually explicit or otherwise adult imagery are strictly prohibited. And if you add links to your stories, please make sure they point somewhere safe and relevant — links to harmful, deceptive, or malicious websites aren't allowed. Content that breaches these standards may be removed without notice, and repeated or serious violations may lead to suspension of your account.
Be honest
Tell true stories. When you tag a photo's location, choose it honestly so you don't mislead others. The words and photos you publish are yours to share — and when someone else's work appears in your story, credit them.
Political neutrality
Photostories takes no political stance on contested borders or territories — country labels on images or any other content are for reference only and imply no claim. Our maps exist to help you place and revisit your memories, nothing more.
About map data
Map data comes from OpenStreetMap, an open, community-built map of the world. Borders and place locations may be approximate, and some places appear under more than one name.
